Weekend Fun!

Renegade Craft Fair is always a fun event to attend.  This past Saturday was extra special and exciting because I got to meet designers Erica Bradbury of Species By The Thousands and Christine Fail of Fail Jewelry.  Both equally cool and sweet.  I give them props for bearing the wind and heat!  Janel and I are so lucky to have such awesome designers to work with. ♥ xoxo

Species By The Thousands // Founded by Erica Bradbury in 2006 and is based in Brooklyn, NY.  Erica uses drawings and paintings to create her jewelry collection.  She utilizes materials such as vintage, reclaimed metals, organic and recycled fibers to create each piece. Her collections have been influenced by plants, animals, friends, lovers, monsters, goblins, ghosts, flowers and has much respect for the environment.  Species by the Thousands believes in bringing an eco friendly approach to jewelry design.

Fail // With her BFA in studio art, designer Christine Fail's background is firmly rooted in art and design.  After 5 years working for two internationally renowned jewelry designers, selling to the country's top retailers, and working directly with customers, Christine decided to realize all of her experience and expertise in her own vision.  Schatzelein, her retail endeavor, is the first half of that vision and fail is the second.  Each piece is delicately handcrafted in sterling silver and 14K gold-fill in Austin Texas.  Modern yet classic, fail embodies the spirit of Austin- pieces that transition effortlessly from a t-shirt and jeans to the little black dress.  Each pieces is intentionally lightweight, fluid, and wearable.
